Crossing Over

Stephen has been very active in Cub Scouts, with Michael right beside him every step of the way. On April 27th, Stephen ceremoniously made the cross over from being a Bear Cub to a Webelo. He is well on his way to becoming a Boy Scout and we couldn't be prouder!

Happy Birthday Matthew!

Where has the time gone? It's hard to believe that our sweet baby boy turned 5 years old today! On May 12, 2004, at 1:50 pm, Matthew Frederick came rushing into this world, but wait, wasn't that just yesterday? Even though it's hard to see him become a "big boy", my heart is filled to the brim with joy and love for this precious child!

Doin' the happy dance!

Be still my heart....I love that sweet smile!

May all your dreams come true little man! We love you!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day one and all! What a wonderful day I had. The morning started out with my wonderful husband bringing me coffee upstairs. I was already out of bed, but still it's the gesture that counts! I was then treated to a lovely surprise on the deck. All 3 of my guys put together a small water fountain surrounded by beautiful plants. This explains all of the banging and giggling that I heard coming from the garage the night before. Our deck has now become a mini oasis. Maybe the zen like beauty of the ornamental grasses, Calla Lilies and river rock combined with the tranquil sounds of the running water will help me to remain calm as my darling children run around the backyard like screaming banshees, terrorizing the neighborhood! One can hope! :) If that doesn't do it, I'm sure adding a glass a wine to the mix will!!!!

Early afternoon, my mom and Terry came into town and went to Bravo with us. We enjoyed a lovely Mother's Day brunch with everything from an omelet station and homemade waffles, to beef stroganoff and stuffed pork tenderloin. To top off the delicious meal, there was an unbelievable selection of desserts ranging from homemade pastries to chocolate covered strawberries and white chocolate mousse! Needless to say all of us left with very full tummies!!! The boys were on their best behavior and for the most part were quite the little gentlemen. I couldn't ask for a better Mother's Day gift than that!
