A Time to Give Thanks...

Thanksgiving day has come and gone, but I find myself quietly reflecting on all of the things that I am grateful for this holiday season. I am so truly blessed to have a husband who loves and supports me, 2 healthy and happy children, loving friends and family, a warm bed to sleep in each night, food on our table and a job that I love. Happy Thanksgiving everyone, and may this holiday season fill you with peace, love and joy!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Excited does not even begin to explain how my 2 boys were feeling when they woke up Halloween morning. Matthew was super excited to finally get to wear his new Power Rangers costume with the "real" muscles and Stephen couldn't wait to hit the streets to strike the mother lode of chocolate! School parties and parades made it much easier to get through the day. Once the sun went down then the true fun began....begging for candy! Oh yeah, I guess they call that trick or treating. The boys had great fun trick or treating throughout the neighborhood. Matthew set out with daddy and Stephen went around the neighborhood with his buddy, Chase. All in all, the boys made out with more candy than we will ever be able to eat and enjoyed every minute of their Halloween holiday!

Here is Matthew in his preschool parade. He's the very buff white Power Ranger!

Yes, this is Stephen. He has obviously outgrown cute and moved on to hideously, creepy. Actually, I thought he looked great. The official title of his costume was zombie skeleton. He really got into the part. You will also notice that there are no pictures with Stephen and Matthew together. That's due to the fact that Matthew wouldn't come within 3 feet of Stephen once he put his mask on!

Here are Stephen and his best buddy, Chase hamming it up for the camera. They were really getting into it!

Getting Ready for Halloween!

The Halloween decorations have been up for a while and the only thing left to do was to carve the pumpkins. Stephen and Matthew were so excited they could hardly make it through dinner! Once Michael got the tops cut off, the boys got to work scraping out the insides of their pumpkins. I traced the stencil on to Stephen's pumpkin, but he did all of the carving on his own. Matthew carved his pumpkin with a little, well ok, a lot of help from mommy. Both boys had a ball and the end result was great!
